Quarter Midgets of America
Quarter Midgets of America is an organization with 2,500 family memberships and 4,000 drivers. To join the club you must train and buy a car.
First, most tracks offer ride day. This is where you pay a fee and you can take a test drive on the track to see if you like it.
Next, if you decide to race you purchase a car and safety gear. Engines can cost from $400 to $9,000. Car chassis can cost from $1,500 to $6,000. Tires start at $50 each.
Lastly, go to club locator to join a club and go through training. In training you learn how to grip the steering wheel, drive into the pits, trim the rubber on the tires, and fly over the dirt. You also learn about safety and how to maintain the car in the pit stop. Once you pass training and are all set up you are ready to race.
